Devblog #4 Experimenting with new Additions
Hello everyone :)
After a week of trying to figure out how to implement the checkpoint system in the game, I thought of an idea which is going to enchant the game. For that reason I am going to be experimenting with it and see how they plays and feel. Let's discuess:
A way to replenish your Sanity
Your sanity goes down gradually until it is depleted. Right now nothing happens apart from having higher risk of something to appear (Monster or paranormal event). What I was thinking of is to add an item which replenish your sanity a little bit so you can keep it in healthy levels. The reason I did not add it before was I didn't feel like it adds anything to the game apart from lower the posibility of paranormal events hapening. I didn't feel the need to have something like that. Because of the next part that I am going to say It is fits to have a way to not let your sanity goes dangerously down so you don't get this happen to you.
Monster Encounter
When you sanity goes very low there will be something that will going to hunt you. It is not going to be very fast, in fact it going to be very slow but unpredictable. It going to walk slowly towards you when it sees you and if you manage to escape by moving away, close a door behind you, go out of the field of view of the monster etc then it will try to find another way toward your location from another direction.
I am still experimenting it with it and it is not ready or anything final but this is the Idea that I am going to go with. What do you think? I would love to hear your opinion about it.
check some previews I posted.
