Didn't get to play through the whole game but i can tell from what i did play that you put a lot of time into the great atmosphere and feel of this game, very immersive and cool.
No it not full of jump scares it is a combination of Puzzles, exploration, story and some Jumpscares. The focus is not on the jump scare but, in the atmosphere, story.
Yep, I returned to this game. Thank you for notifying me about the update. This time It ran so much better and I had like no issues. Volume I could just decrease a bit and I was all fine then. I liked it.
I tried your new game since I did enjoy the first version so much. Also thanks for notifying me about it. Yet, I have some complains here, one of the major ones is the punishment for death. Still, not a bad game. I even made a new video about it.
Thanks for trying it out! Yeah I understand that. I didn't think it would matter so much as the game is not super long. I over estimated the length of the game a little bit. Lesson learn for next time. I am looking into maybe make a small update to Fix this issue :)
I am not a reviewer by any means so take what I say not too seriously. I may have seemed a little harsh in my video, but the game wasn't bad at all. I can tell a great deal of work and passion was put in. My only gripe is the repetitiveness of finding a key to unlock a room, then going to that next room to get a key that unlocks another. Keep it up! (My bad for not finding the first stone hidden in plain sight.)
A great horror game, so many diverse ways you had managed to scare me, I was not expecting that a game could keep on edge for so long, just the simple tapping and breathings which seemed to always lead you somewhere. Even when it seemed like nothing would happen, something unexpected would catch me off guard. Even your use of jumpscares were great, they were not simply in your face moments but set up in ways in which I would not expect.
Although I have to say, the train is a cheap death, you have no forewarning of instant death and being hit means you have to start the game again. It is something I would expect when playing βI Wanna Be the Guyβ, not when no preceding events lead you to expect this would happen.
With Ideas like this, I would love to see what you could make given a longer game, you seem to easily grasp the way to build horror in a limited environment, with puzzles just complex enough to befuddle the player for a short while.
Thanks for playing :) I am glad you enjoyed it and thank you for your kind words. I would love to make a longer game if I had the right budget and team. :)

Hey! I played your game on my stream! Watch it to see the live review! Here's the link for it: https://www.twitch.tv/spacematterplay π Game Number: 2 Time the review ended: 1:28:20
I would also appreciate if you could give an opinion on our latest game. Game devs advice is precious because we know better what it takes to make something work. It's called "Backdoor Shifts"
This was actually a lot of fun! It had a nice atmosphere, it worked and ran well. It's fairly basic but for a game with a solo dev behind it, I can't really aim too high. I do have a couple of requests for a future game though. 1: Tell the player which key they use on a door. This would help make it more clear when you make progress vs just find an open door. Alternatively, label the doors. 2: Put a softly flashing light on the stones or something. The first stone took me ages to find because it just blended in to the area it's located in, and that was a pain in the neck to find. 3: Cutscene audio balancing could use some work. The voice acting is really quiet compared to the background music; that's an easy fix, but just something to keep in mind. Definitely keep up the good work and I'll be checking out any future games you make!
Hey there! Thank you for you kind words. Thank you for playing and I am glad you had a lot of fun.
I appreciate the feedback and I will try to address some of it in a patch to make the experience better. About the 2. Items suppose to light up bright in the dark so you can know they are interactable but in your video I noticed the stones do not light up very much. I will check it out and see if there is problem with them and try to address it. I will also check about the cutscenes audio balancing.
Thank you again for your feedback really appreciate it.
All items are automatically used when you click on the right place. For example if you click the Door it uses the right Key to unlock. or when you click the Stone holder it puts the right stone in it automatically. You don't have to use the Inventory. I will work on some Quality of Life improvements over the weekend.
Hi there, I am DragonExplosion and I am a Youtuber. If you like my videos, please leave a like and subscribe at my channel.
I am actually not done with the game so it would be cool if you could give me some hints as to how to complete the game from where I was stuck at (I am currently stuck at the part where I am done with the piano room and I have no idea where to go after that).
I am quite blind when it comes to looking for items in horror games so I tend to miss out on them. In fact, I missed out on the position of some of the keys during my first 2 runs of the game, causing me to have actually spent 2 hours playing the game without achieving the ending yet. So, if the creator sees this, PLEASE SEND HELP.
This was a really cool horror game that really reminded me of Resident Evil as well as a horror movie revolving around a man trying to revive his dead child by burying his dead child in a cursed land. I like the graphics and the details put into making the notes as well as the introduction scene of the game. The story is really intriguing and the game is much better than it was in the first version of the game.
I feel that for someone like me, who is quite blind when it comes to finding things in horror games, it is definitely frustrating when you cannot proceed and you keep running around the mansion, looking for the key to unlock the doors. It would be cool if some function was added to help the player find the items required if they are blind like me. Also. it would be cool if more could be done in the game like more puzzles (maybe you can highlight certain items) as so far, the game is mainly a walking simulator with nothing much to do. It would also be good to have checkpoints and a way to save the game so that the player doesn't have to cry if they accidentally encounter the monster. (I almost rage quit as I couldn't figure out what to do after the piano room. I quit calmly.)
Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.
Thank you DragonExplosion for your kind word. Thanks for your feedback. A hint for where to go next is the starting area and you need the three stones.
Thank you so much man! I managed to complete the game but the unfortunate part is that my video recorder application did a bad job in recording the long-awaited beautiful ending of the game! Nonetheless, the game was amazing despite getting lost a lot of the time!

I enjoyed it but got stuck and couldn't figure out how to progress.
thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it. Yeah you missed a key in the bedroom .^^β
So many keys. Also, do the stones automatically get used when you are in the right place or do you have to manually access them in the inventory?
